Loudness and voice
Level every file, shape the voice and set the final loudness.
The sound step makes the voice even and pleasant. Compare the result with the original by ear — the preview has a before/after switch for that.
Loudness leveling
Kaddro brings every file to the same speech level, so different recordings sound equally loud. You can also:
- smooth jumps within a file — loud and quiet places move toward each other;
- not boost silence — noise in pauses doesn't get louder.
Voice
An equaliser that makes the voice sound like a podcast. Three kinds:
- Podcast — all-round, the default;
- Clarity — for a laptop or thin microphone;
- Warmth — for a sharp voice.
Strength: light, medium or strong. Voice changes apply once you confirm them; until then you hear a preview around the current position.
Final loudness
Choose the target loudness of the finished video:
- −14 LUFS — like YouTube;
- −16 LUFS — for podcasts, the default;
- −19 LUFS;
- −23 LUFS — radio and TV.
Kaddro shows the current loudness and by how many decibels it will change.
Limiter
Keeps peaks from distorting. Ceiling −1, −2 or −3 dB: −1 is loudest, −3 is safest.
