Pauses and silent ends

Shorten long pauses and trim silence at the start and end.

Pauses

Kaddro shortens long pauses to a set length — 0.1 to 2 seconds, 0.3 s by default. Pauses shorter than 0.4 s are left alone.

The silence threshold sets what counts as silence: a lower threshold treats fewer places as pauses.

Quiet sounds in pauses

With «Quiet sounds in pauses» on, a short quiet sound inside a long pause — a breath, a click — does not break it: the whole pause is shortened, not only the stretches around the sound.

Next to a cut

The quiet beside a cut retake, or a stretch you cut by hand, is cut together with the pause, so breaths and gaps next to cuts no longer stay.

Silence at the start and end

Turn on trimming the silence before the first word and after the last. Adjust the bounds by hand by dragging the start and end on the timeline.

How much will be cut

Alongside you see how many seconds are removed and how long the video will be after cleanup.
