  • Kaddro now lives at kaddro.app: signing in, updates and the links in the app use the new address.
  • Preview: video plays much more smoothly on slower Macs.
  • A recording opened again is not analysed again: its sound is kept, so it opens at once.
  • Extra sounds: switching the search on looks for quiet sounds between words at once, with or without samples.
  • The sound no longer breaks up while the interface is busy during playback.
  • Speed test: shows its stage, how far it has got and how long it has been, and runs faster.
  • Screen recording on macOS 12: choosing «Around a window» or «Part» no longer closes Kaddro, and the recording window no longer stays above other apps.
  • The «Retake» key can be tried in the test recording on macOS before 15. The mark sounds quieter in the speakers and is in the recording as loud as before.

  • Extra sounds: breaths and other quiet sounds between words are found without any sample. When a sample is deleted or switched off, the search runs again by itself after two seconds.
  • Silence: the quiet beside a cut retake is cut together with the pause, so breaths and gaps next to retakes no longer stay. The option to cut very long pauses entirely is gone; the switch is now «Quiet sounds in pauses».
  • AI cuts end at the quietest moment, not on a word.
  • Choosing a retake in the list or the text scrolls the timeline to it.
  • A selection on the timeline shows its length, without the cut parts.
  • Another stage opens with the playhead at the same place on the timeline.
  • A click on the preview plays and pauses.
  • The left and right arrows no longer switch the stage.
  • Duration: a target of 20:00 shows as 20:00, not 19:59.

  • A new app icon: the last three bars are orange.
  • Silence: breaths and other short quiet sounds inside a long pause no longer break it, so the whole pause is shortened. A new option cuts very long pauses entirely.
  • Extra sounds: a «Shorten» option on each sample. What is found, a breath for example, is cut down to 0.2 s instead of only being made quieter.
  • A new sound sample is searched for right away.
  • The «Retake» mark after a retake found by AI is cut together with it and no longer stays in the result.

  • Screen recording on Macs with macOS 12.3 and later (including Intel Macs). Recording a single window needs macOS 14, system sound needs macOS 15; what your macOS can't do is greyed out with a note.
  • Pro: AI finds retakes by what is said, on its own, once the text is recognized. Trims at all three depths come in one request, and long recordings no longer time out.
  • Retakes: one «Retakes» card; a phrase said again is cut up to your «Retake» mark and never into the good take.
  • Recognition no longer crashes on macOS 12.
  • The window opens in the middle of the screen and remembers where you left it.
  • On first launch Kaddro asks to join the improvement program (anonymous usage statistics) and shows the Terms and the Privacy Policy. It can be turned off in Settings, and a report on a crash can be sent from there or after one.
  • A computer set to Russian starts in Ukrainian.
  • Settings use switches, and the privacy section sits next to the update one.

  • Kaddro finds a new version by itself, shows what's new in it and installs it. Checking at launch can be turned off in Settings.
  • Sound profiles: «Podcast» and two of your own, kept in your account.
  • Settings and keyboard shortcuts are kept in your account and are the same on all your computers (shortcuts apart for macOS and Windows).
  • Pro: AI finds chapters by the text and names them. Chapter names go into the export file names too.
  • Search in the text on Cleanup. Under the text you see how much will be cut.
  • Silence at the start and end of a recording is cut right away.
  • Normalization by name: YouTube, Podcast, Radio, TV. Limiter: light, medium, strong.
  • Cropping to the frame's own proportions.

  • Export: when stretches are cut out of a single file, its video is copied as it is and only the frames next to each cut are encoded again — the export takes a fraction of the time and the picture keeps its quality.
